At the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula, approximately 1060 miles south of San Diego, CA, Los Cabos is comprised of 3 areas. The entire Los Cabos area, which means, "The Capes" encompasses San Jose del Cabo, Cabo San Lucas and the entire (25 mile, give or take) Corridor in between the two.

San Jose del Cabo   closest to the airport and the quieter of the two cities, is definitely more laid back, with old Mexico charm and a lovely downtown area.

The Corridor   twenty some odd miles of prime ocean view land along the Sea of Cortez, is quickly being developed with upscale hotels, 6 signature golf courses and numerous home developments.

Cabo San Lucas   where the Corridor ends and the fun begins. The once sleepy fishing village that is bordered by the Pacific Ocean on one side and the Sea of Cortez on the other. This fishing mecca has exploded with growth over the last 15 years and has become one of Mexico’s most popular destinations for golfers, fisherman, water sports enthusiasts, and those who want to invest and own a piece of paradise. El Arco (The Arch) is at the very tip of the Baja Peninsula and is the landmark seen on most postcards and advertisements for Cabo San Lucas.

Los Cabos near perect desert climate is sunny about 360 days a year. Except for late summer and early fall, there is hardly any humidity. (Remember I said "near perfect" weather because mid July through end of September is hurricane season in the tropics and the humidity is a killer). Please note: tourists from the East Coast and Southern states think that the Cabo humidity is a relief from what they are used to. Cabo San Lucas is situated in such a way that most major storms veer off to the left and dissipate over the Pacific.

The Gulf is calm and mostly swimmable while the Pacific is definitely more active and a big favorite of surfers. The many beaches offer opportunities for snorkeling, surfing, water skiing, and windsurfing. There are many recreational companies that offer diving, kayaking, sailing, and whale-watching in season. And don't forget...Cabo is the marlin capital of the world with many charter sportfishing boats ready to take you out for that big hook-up.

LOS CABOS-CABO SAN LUCAS is served by most major airlines...and some not so major, with plenty of direct flights from the U.S./Canadian cities coast to coast and more being added every season. My Canadian clients are ecstatic about the new non-stop routes on WestJet from Calgary and Kelowna.

World Class restaurants, an abundance of activities, pristine beaches, the new Puerta Paraiso Mall which houses fine restaurants, boutiques, a bowling alley, and 10 movie theaters have all contributed to the growth and modernization of Los Cabos, making this the largest growing real estate market in Mexico.
